Is there any other function that does something similar to .stats()?

I recently created issue SERVER-94381 on MongoDB’s Jira, where I pointed out that there might be a memory leak when using the .stats() function, which makes it unusable in my case. I would like to know if there is any way to work around the problem. Thank you very much for your attention.
