:earth_asia:Looking for a recap of our latest MongoDB User Groups (MUGs)? Every month, all around the globe, members of our community come together to talk tech and all things MongoDB.

The MUG Hanoi, led by Yen Trinh, brought together MongoDB enthusiasts to explore vector databases, AI applications, and MongoDB Certification. Trung led a deep dive into MongoDB Atlas Vector Search, showcasing its role in AI-powered search and similarity matching. Nguyen and Chu Van Nam shared real-world experiences of implementing AI with MongoDB, while Yen Trinh provided valuable insights into the MongoDB Certification Journey.

In Kuala Lumpur, Lai Kai Yong hosted an in-person meetup at AWS Malaysia, bringing together developers and tech enthusiasts for insightful discussions. Mohamed from DKSH showcased MongoDB in action and real-world use cases across industries, demonstrating how businesses leverage MongoDB’s power. Kai Yong Lai from Farmz Asia followed with Is Your Index Indexing? offering deep insights into optimizing database performance.

The MUG Chandigarh, led by Loveleen and Pranav, hosted an event at SoftoBiz Technologies, bringing together AI and MongoDB enthusiasts. Huge thanks to Veer and Ronit for delivering a workshop on building AI agents with MongoDB. A Squid Game-themed challenge, “The Survival Query,” was conducted by Preksha, Pranav, and Loveleen, where participants tested their MongoDB skills in a competitive showdown.

The Thailand MUG hosted an online meetup, featuring sessions on MongoDB Search Playground and using Azure OpenAI for MQL. Kanin, Sr. Software Engineer at LWN and Chakhirya demonstrated how to experiment with search engines using MongoDB Atlas, while Piti, MongoDB Sr. Consulting Engineer, explored generating MQL commands using Azure OpenAI in Mongo Shell.

The MUG in Dublin, in collaboration with CHatBot and AI Meetup Dublin, hosted an interactive hands-on workshop at TCube Dublin, exploring MongoDB Atlas Search and Vector Search. Shane, Lead Developer Advocate at MongoDB, and Harshit, Senior Community Manager at MongoDB, guided attendees through crafting powerful search experiences—from full-text search to semantic search with embeddings. The session covered key concepts like fuzzy matching, autocomplete, phrase searches, and index optimization, helping participants build intuitive, AI-driven search applications.

Lastly, the MUG in Berlin, in collaboration with Search Tech Berlin, hosted an in-person meetup at Delivery Hero, exploring the latest advancements in search and vector technology. John from MongoDB and Fahad from Delivery Hero presented Building Delivery Hero’s Product Semantic Similarity Using Atlas Vector Search, showcasing how vector embeddings enhance product recommendations. Abel and Joel from Digitec Galaxus followed with From Zero Results to Vector Search: Insights from Nine Key Experiments, sharing lessons on improving search experiences through experimentation. A huge thanks to René and Roman from Search Meetup and Delivery Hero for hosting this fantastic event!

We want to extend our gratitude to everyone who’s helped make these events possible. They wouldn’t be a success without you.
