We currently use several power shell scripts to gather info around our inventory in mongo down to how many db’s and what version of the mongo os is running. we do this for both atlas and our on prem systems. but im looking at changing things up and would like to know who else is doing this. i’m thinking about using python to make api calls to grab this data but if someone else has a way to do this i would love to hear.

Hello, welcome to MongoDB Community!
Here we have more than 400 MongoDB clusters in Atlas alone. We use a lot of code in Golang, Python to obtain inventory information. Regarding monitoring itself, we use customized Atlas + alerts, in addition to obtaining some data with PMM and other observability tools.
interesting. i’m not all that interested in general monitoring. we have been thinking about dynatrace but i’m leaving that alone. anyway, we can chat?
I’ve already used Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics and NewRelic also with Atlas and they work well.
Of course, you can ping me.
i sent you a connection request on linkedin.
