Hi MongoDB/Realm team,

We are currently using the Realm Java SDK (realm-gradle-plugin) for local data storage in a production Android app — with no use of Atlas Device Sync.

We noticed that Realm Kotlin has a community branch, but Realm Java does not. Can you please confirm:

  • If realm-java is being transitioned to community support?
  • If MongoDB will continue maintaining the Java SDK in any form?
  • Any recommendations or timelines we should be aware of?
