MCP (Model Context Protocol) is exploding over the internet for enabling connecting AI models to different datasource and applications. Are there any plans to implement an official MCP server to allow interact with Atlas and/or standalone mongodb instances?

Hi @Ricardo_Montoya Thank you for your post! There are a few community-managed MCP servers for MongoDB currently already available. And yes we are working on releasing an official MCP server soon. Stay tuned! Would love to talk to you if you have some particular use cases you would like the MCP server to address
I’m also interested in this. I did try the 1RB MCP server and while it seemed to work fine for the functionality it implemented, those capabilities were less than I was hoping for. My initial use case is to interact with weather data currently stored in several MongoDB collections from Claude Desktop. Any chance of getting an early access beta of your official version?
