How to downgrade compass version

The last 2 months of updates have made compass legit unusable. I’d like to downgrade, but will uninstall and use a vscode extension instead if this isnt viable

Ideally, I’d like to use version 1.43.5 (for MAC), before autocomplete would ruin every query I type.

Is there any way to do this nicely? The only instances of previous versions I’ve been able to find have been the windows builds.

Hi Sean,
What version of Compass are you using? We released a number of improvements to the historical autocomplete in 1.44.3, and I’m curious if these have made it easier for you to use the app. If there are other specific problems you’re having, I’d love to hear more about them.

If you think a MongoDB tool or component is broken, but are not sure, these Forums are the place to ask.

But if you know that a MongoDB tool or component is broken, the issue tracker is https://jira.mongodb.org/

I was on version 1.44.7 at the time of writing this. Now on version 1.45.0, with the issues I experienced persisting.

While I understand the importance of bug reporting and suggesting, I just want to downgrade to 1.43.5 (on mac) and don’t know how to do so. I’ll exclude reasons for desires like this in future posts, and be sure to make tickets related to those reasons.

No idea how to uninstall and install on Mac, but the release you want is available via the Archived Releases link on the download page.
