I use atlas device sdk to call the atlas functions on my nextjs app. As atlas device sdk is getting deprecated, will the functions usage will be deprecated too?
I see from their deprecation page that only functions that can be used with triggers will remain.

I dont think they will depracted those, but you can never trust mongodb, you cant even write to their customer service, or get any reply from them.

Hi @Abed_Siam, no changes are planned to Triggers, but Functions called from anywhere other than Triggers (including HTTP Endpoints and the Device SDKs) are being deprecated.

apparently they are doing that. only for trigger related functions will work… this is just sad. only started using it on our production app.

As @Abed_Siam mentioned, these changes will keep the functions for Triggers. I am closing this thread for now, but invite you to pursue the conversation here
