If I am having thousands of records in my collection, say from (2020-2023), but I only need to query records for 2023 only. Is using ‘views’ help to save reading cost instead of using normal read query from the collection itself? Currently, I am using normal retrieval query with pagination, and I am thinking if I can optimize this further to save cost.
Views are resolved at query time, so no, it won’t speed up your query. Having correct indexes should speed it up though.
