cursor.tryNext()

mongosh Method

Returns:The next document in the cursor returned by the db.collection.find() method or null.

This method is available in deployments hosted in the following environments:

  • MongoDB Atlas: The fully managed service for MongoDB deployments in the cloud

Note

This command is supported in all MongoDB Atlas clusters. For information on Atlas support for all commands, see Unsupported Commands.

cursor.tryNext() is a special case of the cursor.next() method that returns the next element in the iteration if available or else null.
