Manage Backups
Cloud Manager will no longer support Automation, Backup, and Monitoring for MongoDB 3.6 and 4.0 after August 30th, 2024. Please upgrade your MongoDB deployment or migrate to Atlas.
- OAuth 2.0 authentication for programmatic access to Cloud Manager is available as a Preview feature.
- The feature and the corresponding documentation might change at any time during the Preview period. To use OAuth 2.0 authentication, create a service account to use in your requests to the Cloud Manager Public API.
- Edit a Backup's Settings
- Edit backup's settings, security credentials, snapshot schedule and retention policy. You can also change the backup's storage engine, and the preferred member for backup.
- Stop, Restart, or Terminate a Backup
- Stop backups for a replica set or sharded cluster. When you stop backups, Cloud Manager stops taking new snapshots and retains existing snapshots. When you terminate a backup, Cloud Manager deletes snapshots and runs the next backup job as a full backup.
- View a Backup's Snapshots
- View all available backup snapshots.
- Delete a Snapshot
- Delete snapshots for replica sets and sharded clusters.
- Resync a Backup
- Deprecated. You don't need to resync MongoDB databases that run with
FCV
4.2 or later. - Disable the Backup Service
- Disable backup, which deletes all snapshots. If you later re-enable backup, this requires an inital sync.
- Change the Backup Region
- Change your backup region to any of the regions that support backups.
