Backup Scheduling, Retention, and On-Demand Snapshots

Atlas provides both automated and on-demand backup options. Atlas allows you to:

• View and modify backup policies

• Manage your backup snapshots

• Automate distribution of snapshots across regions

If you have strict data protection requirements, you can enable a Backup Compliance Policy to protect your backup data. If you have a Backup Compliance Policy enabled, Atlas prohibits certain actions. To learn more, see Configure a Backup Compliance Policy.
