SSPL Exception from MongoDB

Hi all,

It has come to my knowledge, that MongoDB provides exception to the SSPL license, if the firm meets some requirements. First of all, is this true and if yes, how can we get that exception ?

What is your use case for MongoDB? There are a limited set of circumstances that would trigger the SSPL.

We have to provide it as a service to our customer but there are some propriety/tools which we don’t want to make public.

You have to comply with the SSPL or purchase a commercial license if you are providing MongoDB as a service. There are no exceptions.
