Open sourcing some parts of the graphql service

Wondering if mongodb is considering open sourcing the code which generates the graphql SDL from sampling mongodb collections. I am in the process of migrating away but would like to do so in a controlled manner (without the bloat of the SDL exported from the UI), and think a modified version of this tool will be better than the utility I have written which is no where as capable.
