Mongodb compass- host and port provided is not work

It actually worked fine for me.
Are you able to confirm that you’re not behind a firewall and can make connections outgoing to 27017?
If not I suggest you copy/paste the address etc to make sure you have them correct.

Sorry for late response.

Here are some checks you can do to make sure everything is right!

Are you on the latest version of Compass i.e 1.16.1 ? If not, download it here
Try connecting to our cluster through mongo shell. I am assuming you have mongo installed, if not install MongoDB enterprise edition here
Run mongo command from your command line:

mongo “mongodb://cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017,cluster0-shard-00-01-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017,cluster0-shard-00-02-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017/test?replicaSet=Cluster0-shard-0” --authenticationDatabase admin --ssl --username m001-student --password m001-mongodb-basics

Seems like your network is blocking the requests. Make sure by doing ping cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net.

Have you tried telnet and everything else?

ping cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net . If you are able to ping then try to see if you can reach the cluster via tracert
tracert cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net . If tracert shows that you can reach the server, then try telnet. On Mac, you can tracert using
Launch Network Utility -> Click on Traceroute -> Enter cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net -> Click Trace. If it looks like this, means you can access the cluster.

telnet cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net 27017. If you are able to connect via telnet then check if there is no white spaces added to the fields.

~$ telnet cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net 27017
Trying 34.195.121.130...
Connected to ec2-34-195-121-130.compute-1.amazonaws.com.

Also, can you go to your browser and try http://cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017/ . The output should be:
It looks like you are trying to access MongoDB over HTTP on the native driver port.
If you get the above message, then that means you can access Atlas.

If you have, please copy/paste this command directly and wait for it to connect:

mongo “mongodb://cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017,cluster0-shard-00-01-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017,cluster0-shard-00-02-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017/test?replicaSet=Cluster0-shard-0” --authenticationDatabase admin --ssl --username m001-student --password m001-mongodb-basics

Also check for double quotes if you get any syntax error or so.
