MongoDB 8.0.0 is released

MongoDB 8.0 is now available for download! There are 4 major areas of improvement in MongoDB 8.0 including:

Up to 36% higher throughput compared with the previous version
Easier and cheaper to get started with horizontal scaling
Expanded use cases for working with encrypted data
Additional controls to help ensure healthy behavior during periods of heavy load

MongoDB 8.0 is available today via MongoDB Atlas, as part of MongoDB Enterprise Advanced for on-premises and hybrid deployments, and as a free download from mongodb.com/try.
