How to access data archive from web interface?

Newbie here to the online archive with Atlas… hoping I can get a few simple answers here to unblock me.
I have a collection (TAP.raw) with an online archive setup. See screenshot below.

I know that archive is working (archiving data older than 15 days) because I can browse it using a data-federation connection string using Studio3T.

But how do I find the archived documents using the web interface for MongoDB Atlas? It would seem that the default for browsing collections would be the unified view of Atlas + Online Archive, right?

Also, on the archive page, the “total data archived” field on my archive summary page simply says ‘N/A’. When I hover over the “N/A” it shows “Metrics are available only for new Online Archives on Atlas Data Lake”. Is this an error? Did I set something up wrong?

Thanks for bringing this one up. I’m just checking with the team some possible causes of this but will update here when I have any information. In the meantime, could you just verify when this online archive was created? You can find this out in your Project Activity Feed - You could filter for “Online Archive” and should find an option for the online archive being created.

It is not currently possible to query the documents storage in Online Archive via Atlas UI. You could use MongoDB Compass and go through the connection modal for the online archive and select the Connect to Cluster and Online Archive option. I have not tested this using Studio3T.

In terms of the Online Archive + Cluster unified view via Atlas Data Explorer / Atlas Web UI, I would recommend creating a post for this in our feedback engine in which others can vote for.

Just a quick update regarding the N/A you’re seeing under Total Data Archived - Depending on the date of creation, the online archive would have this message under Total Data Archived:

Metrics are available only for new Online Archives on Atlas Data Lake

More recently created online archives would not show this message.

There are a few options here for the N/A value you’re seeing:

At a later period (unfortunately I’m not aware, or can guarantee any particular time frames) the Online Archive’s that display this message should no longer see this message and instead should see the values. No action is required here.
If you want to see it now via the Atlas UI, you can restore the archived data to your cluster and then create a new Online Archive to then archive the data again.
Running collStats or find().explain() to see the total data archived
