Backups and Restore

Hi,

I am new to MongoDB. I have configured Ops Manager to test my backup and restores of replica and sharded clusters in a test environment. What is the recommendation to backup the Application Database and Backup Database replica sets?

Hi @Aasawari,

Backups of MongoDB instances managed by Ops Manager are running fine. I just wanted to ask how should I backup the Application Database and the Oplog database store that are part of the Ops Manager deploymen? Currently I have a replica set for both the Application Database and the Oplog store and I am using mongodump to do the backups. Is this the right backup strategy or you recommend something better?
